Terms
Terms of Service
Last updated September 5, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and JM Photography LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Lineup Central (“we,” “us,” “our”). They cover this website and Roll Call, the barcode renamer at lineupcentral.com/roll-call.
They do not cover Lineup or Lineup Lab, our desktop applications, which are not yet sold and will carry their own license terms when they are. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with information; where the two documents overlap, the Privacy Policy governs privacy.
Using Roll Call means accepting these terms. If you are using it for a business, you are agreeing on that business’s behalf.
Roll Call Is In Beta
Roll Call is new. Credits are not on sale at the moment: every account starts with a grant of free credits, and that is the only way to get them today. When sales open, the pricing on the account page is what applies.
Roll Call renames files on your own disk. During the beta especially, run it against a shoot you have already delivered, or a copy — not tonight’s job. Features, prices and limits can change while it is in beta, and we may pause or withdraw the service.
Your Account
Signing in means asking us to email a link to an address you control. There is no password. Anyone who can read that mailbox can sign in as you, and a signed-in session lasts up to 30 days, so keep the mailbox to yourself and sign out on a machine you share.
One account per email address. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to attack the service or break these terms.
Credits, And What Is Billed
One credit renames one file. Credits are prepaid, they do not expire, they have no cash value, and they are not transferable between accounts.
Building a plan is what spends them, and only files that actually get a new name are billed:
- Billed A file whose barcode matched a roster row and that will be renamed — including one flagged because two roster rows share its barcode, since it still renames.
- Never billed A file with no barcode in its metadata, a barcode no roster row carries, or a name pattern that resolves to nothing. Those are the tool failing to do its job, and you are not charged for them.
- Zero A plan that is blocked — because two files want the same new name, or a new name would land on a file already in the folder — costs nothing at all, however many other files matched. You cannot run a blocked plan, so you are not charged for one.
- Re-plans Re-planning the same job within 24 hours only charges the difference against what that job has already cost. Change your mind about the name pattern as often as you like inside that window and you pay once.
Every charge and every credit is listed on your account page. That ledger is the record: if the balance and the ledger ever disagree, the ledger is right and we will correct the balance.
Prices And Payment
Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the account page. Larger prepaid packs cost less per file; the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
When credit sales open, payments will be processed by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe, not to us — we never receive or store them. You are responsible for any tax that applies where you are, unless we are required to collect it.
We can change prices. A change never affects credits you have already bought: those stay yours at what you paid.
Refunds
Unused credits are refundable. Email support@lineupcentral.com within 60 days of a purchase and we will refund the credits from it that you have not spent, to the card you paid with. Credits you have already spent on a plan are not refundable — the work was done.
Two things that are not refunds, and are handled anyway: if Roll Call charged you for something it should not have, tell us and we will put it right, refund or not. And if we withdraw the service while you are holding credits you paid for, we will refund them.
Your Files And Your Roster
Your images never leave your computer. Roll Call reads the metadata header of each file in your browser — roughly the first 256 KB — and sends us only a filename, a barcode and timestamps, plus the list of filenames in the folder. No image data, no thumbnail, no hash of the pixels. The renaming happens on your own disk.
Your roster does reach us, because matching against it is the job. We do not store it. What we keep about a plan is a count of files, a count of matches, what it cost, the name pattern, the resolved frame order, and a fingerprint of the job — not the rows. The Privacy Policy is the fuller account.
Your files and your roster remain yours; we claim no ownership of either and do not use them to train anything. You are responsible for having the right to upload the roster you upload — these are usually children’s names, and the league or school you got them from is who you answer to about that.
What Roll Call Does Not Promise
Roll Call renames files according to the metadata in them and the roster you give it. It has no way to know whether the barcode in a frame is on the right child, or whether your roster is right. If the wrong barcode was scanned at the camera, Roll Call will confidently give that frame the wrong name.
What it does guarantee is narrower and worth stating plainly: it will not let one file overwrite another. A plan where two files want the same name, or where a new name would land on a file already in the folder, is blocked rather than run. Every run writes a log first, and the log will put the filenames back — it restores names, not contents. Keep backups of a shoot before you rename it, and cull the frames you are not keeping first, because the sequence number is a position and deleting a frame afterwards does not renumber the rest.
Direct renaming needs a Chromium-based browser. Others read the folder the same way and give you a script to run instead.
Acceptable Use
Don’t:
- — resell Roll Call, or put its matching behind your own product, without a written agreement with us.
- — attack the service: automated hammering, working around the published per-plan limits, probing other accounts, or trying to obtain data that is not yours.
- — use it for anything unlawful, or upload a roster you have no right to.
Availability
We run Roll Call as well as we can and we do not promise it will be available at any particular moment. There is no uptime commitment, in beta or after it. If the service is down you cannot build a plan — the free check tool at /roll-call/check/ keeps working, because it makes no network request at all.
Disclaimer And Liability
Roll Call is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data, and our total liability arising out of or relating to Roll Call is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Some places do not allow those limits. Where that is true, they apply only as far as they are permitted, and nothing here limits liability for fraud or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Ending It
You can stop using Roll Call whenever you like, and ask us to close your account by email. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or withdraw the service. If we close your account for anything other than misuse, or withdraw the service, you get your unspent credits back.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. If a change materially affects you and you have an account, we will email the address on it. Continuing to use Roll Call after a change means accepting it, where the law allows.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in McLennan County, Texas, and both of us consent to those courts.
