How it works

1. Read the league’s roster Point Sidelines at whatever the league sent you. The file is opened and read on your own computer and never leaves it. Sidelines reads the usual shapes — one name column or two, team or division, jersey numbers — and shows you what a parent will see before anything is sent.
2. Send one link and one password The league passes both on however they already talk to families: a group message, an email, the sign at the field. Parents pick their team, find their athlete, and leave their name, email and phone.
3. Take the file and delete the copy Download a roster with the contacts attached, load it into Lineup, and press the button that says it landed. That deletes the copy here immediately — and keeps anyone who signed up in the meantime.

Children’s full names never reach it

A roster of children behind a password a hundred families know is worth being careful with. So the surname is cut to two letters in your browser, before a single row leaves your computer — a parent sees exactly this, which is more than enough to find their own child on their own team:

The roster file itself never goes anywhere: it is read where it sits, and the rest of each name stays in it. When you take the contacts back out, the names go back on in your browser by a key computed from your own roster — so the file you end up with is complete, and the server the contacts passed through never held a child’s surname at all.
